The E-5 is delivered with the "BLM-5" and "BCM-5". Furthermore the two content can be acquired indiviually. As the configuration of the new "BLM-5" battery is the identical as the existing "BLM-1", the "BLM-5" can also be utilised with the existing Olympus SLR cameras*
* The More mature BLM-1 Ex-Pro battery can be utilised with the Olympus E-5 but the new BLM-5 is proposed. The BLM-5 can be utilised with E-technique cameras such as the E-3 and E-thirty and with earlier cameras which utilised the BLM-1. The BLM-5 battery is only suitable with the BCM-5 charger.
